Brave Private Web Browser, VPN

Get rid of the AI features or at least allow me to turn them off. This used to be the best browser around, but it cant seem to save my settings for not using AI in web search There's multiple settings that need to be turned off, so I did that, and they just kept turning back on I don't like AI. It's annoying, I should be able to completely turn it off and have it stay off, even in incognito. But, there's clearly bugs with this, and I don't want to be part of the problem with datacenter usage

a lion would annihilate a duck in a fight 10/10 times. I'm still pretty new to Brave, but I liked it more than DDG the first time using it. it has lots of "privacy settings", not sure what they all do specifically, but I can say that it definitely loads faster than DDG and doesn't kill data with the games DDG plays, like clicking on a link, to go from A to C to D to B... maybe. Brave takes you from A to B, no bull, no ads, no waiting for pages to load.

Really good except for search results. If you use search modifiers it does not work. Putting -item will give you said item, and sometimes will even give you MORE of it as if you had said "item" in any other search browser. If I am looking for something specific even if I have searched for it before, I end up trying 5-10 different ways to search before giving up and googling it instead since modifiers actually work there and you can find what you needed a lot quicker

very good at blocking unwanted ads and pop ups. helps with privacy as well. just that the search results are very limited. if the search results were better, I'd be ditching Chrome for good. Also, I hate that it keeps closing by itself. So if I'm logged into a website, I'll have to log in again, and the process keeps repeating. Not ideal if you're doing something or waiting for something to complete.

It seems to open up web pages consistently faster than any pre-loaded browser. I also like the feature showing the amount of rejected cookies and saved data. it makes it stand out, that's for sure. (that was 2024..) Fast forward to 2026...I loved this browser but I had to delete it because it increased its footprint to a whopping 1.3 GB!!! nobody else seems to care or noticed the unbelievable amount of bloating. what did cause that? nobody knows except the developers Sorry 2 let it go!

coming down to 2 stars from 3. glitchy and wont respond sometimes and rewards dont work, or not easily. i also have always had a sneaking suspicion that theyre not as privacy oriented as they purport to be, but thats just a suspicion for now. really frustrating because i love the anti ad nature of browser, but the fact is that most of the time, it doesnt work fully, at least not for me. sorry. just cant rate any different for now. please fix whatever is wrong with your browser, Brave!

works well for me on all my devices , android tablets and phones. linux and windows PCs. love the sync feature and privacy protection options. I don't bother with rewards because I'm an old guy and don't need any extra complications in my life. I wish it worked natively on my Amazon kindle devices.

I made this app my primary browser a day after installing and trying it. It provides more privacy, no ads or annoying spam/pop-ups (unwanted kinds). It does all of this just as seamless and fast as the other big browsers plus it performs just as well! I highly recommend it, especially if like me you hate sitting through 5 minutes of ads on YouTube every few minutes.
