Astrill VPN

Absolutely terrible experience. I paid USD 30 for Astrill VPN, and it never worked on my device. I spent over 3 hours troubleshooting with support without any benefit. Instead of issuing a refund for a service that did not work, they ask you to install dangerous programs and to give them passwords to control your device remotly. so even if the service works for you your personal data may be at risk. I believe this is a trap and only subscribe if you are ready to loose your money and data

I got this for China. it has been abysmal. I changed from clash vpn for much cheaper to astrill thinking it would be great. barely connects (well actually tunnels. connects all the time but zero VPN data) and USA locations are lies, not actually USA.

I've been using it in China for almost 8 years. At the beginning everything was fine, but last 2 years I've had a terrible experience. Disconnecting by itself every 30-40 mins, speed is extremely slow. Sometimes even connection to the server takes few minutes. Don't recommend it.

Android, sometimes it won't get past the first step of connecting (so then never gets to the menu of server list). If one uninstalls it and reinstall then perfect again. PC: always stable.

Duh, paid and login. Still processing request?? Not an experience I am expecting, got a feeling I got scammed. The top of the page, it said unlimited devices and the bottom said 5 devices for its plans. Misleading.

why today March 7, 2024. Astrill vpn can't work at all. Can't open google play store, FB, download nor open video/picture. What's happening? And the country getting lesser to choose? Please fix it ASAP, as we pay the subscription is not cheap. I see astrill getting worst to. Worst now, Lately in 2026, May happen again, can't connect, not working, what happen to you, we pay so Expensive yet the service you give getting WORST!!!!! Looks like going to say bye-bye to you ASTRILL VPN!!!

This VPN does not work in China, do not believe the reviews that say it does! As soon as I switched to Astrill I was kicked off many Chinese services. Application filter, smart mode for china - neither work. Awful experience. The VPN doesn't work and they refuse to give me a refund. Other companies offer a much better product at a fraction of the price. I would go as far as to call this a scam product.

The app has slowed down a lot recently. Mine keeps freezing on the homepage, meaning I have to restart my phone to either change servers or switch the VPN on as, once it freezes, it's frozen until I restart my phone. Very frustrating. I recently took out a 2.5 years subscription, so I'm stuck with it for a while yet.
