wonder if could be possible the routing of hotspot traffic through the vpn. currently is bypassed. There is though a small issue, in case the server is down, you see connected but actually is not.

Good app but conflicts with other VPNs and uses more power than SSH tunnels. SSH utilises hw accelerated aes256-gcm on phones these days. As a result SSH will be faster even when WG kernel support is used by the app at some point.

(1) It needs safer backup mechanisms for those who don't have Seedvault. Exporting an unencrypted zip file containing private keys to your Downloads folder is not great coming from an app of this kind. (2) If you install it through Aurora Store, it will refuse to run with the error "application corrupt". It's not really corrupt, it's just programmed to reject any source other than Play Store.

A widget to quickly toggle VPN on and off without having to open the app would be cause for a 5 star rating.

When adding from scratch please make a way to just paste a complete config instead of filling fields. I like how simple and clean the app is.

works well with config file. but i see there's no updates for the ios version for 3 years. why has that been abandoned?

The app doesn't create VPN service when endpoint DNS lookup fails, resulting in potential traffic leaks. The protocol is excellent, sadly ChaCha20 hardware acceleration isn't widespread.
