Surfshark: Secure VPN service

This *should* be an excellent experience. Easy to set up and configure, plenty of options. It's fine if you just turn it on for 10 minutes at a time. It frequently says it is connected when it has disconnected. This means I have to reconnect several times an hour, sometimes every few minutes! Even worse with the "Kill Switch" on. Edit: dozens say the same, all advised to switch protocol 🤷🏼‍♀️ automatically detecting a disconnect should not be this difficult.

When it works, it's great. Recently however, the VPN has been getting silently disconnected, where the app still shows that it's "connected" even when it isn't. Currently there's no way to know if you're connected without checking your IP through an external service. As a more minor annoyance, the VPN notification icon always shows regardless of whether you are actually connected. 3rd edit: this has been a known issue for almost a year but has not been fixed.

Unfortunately, many European locations connecting very slowly (mobile phone). Sometimes I need to wait 30-60 secs just to be connected. It started to happen around 2 months ago and now it's on regular and almost with every European connection. Once it connects it slows down internet significantly as well. Used to be good, now just so-so. I'll wait another month or two and if the situation doesn't improve I'll consider some alternative.

It's excellent and very safe. However, the subscription price of at least $10.99 may feel excessive or expensive to some new users. I also sometimes use it in games and it turns off automatically. I'm not saying it's bad, but it makes the ping between 125 to 250 This is frustrating because I'm focused on playing games and running this program. thank you

Avoid at all costs. Beyond slow , free version of Proton is much faster. Update, After I played around with the settings it start working. Good connections and download speed. That lasted about a month, after updating the app It can barely connect to a webpage and if it does it is SLOW. Spend the extra money on anything but this

This is a borderline scam app. I've been trying to cancel my subscription for a few months now but they've made it impossible to do so. When I cancel, it says the subscription has been canceled but then they continue auto charging the card on file. Horrible! Please stay away. There are better services out there that don't resort to these scammy practices

I'm a paid subscriber and I like the service this provides, however the app has pop-ups that open randomly when you launch the app and they're very intrusive when all you want to do is use the service you paid for. In addition to that they can be difficult to dismiss depending on your phone screen and where their "x" is located. because of this experience I don't know if I'll be a returning subscriber once my membership runs out. Reply to devs: That option does not cover the issue I described.

DO NOT USE!!! Read other reviews. I signed up for the free 7 day trial. The day before the auto renewal I canceled the subscription through the app and Googleplay. Welp, a charge tried to go through that card and didn't bc i had it locked. It then tried to go through all of the cards that were connected to my Google Play and it caused red flags on each card which sent me fraud alerts. I haven't been able to speak to anyone. I had to cancel all my cards. Horrible!
