Proton VPN: Fast & Secure VPN

typically I would rate this app higher but after the last update even with net Shield turned off I can't use all my apps and it won't load pages until I turn the VPN off completely. also, I'm getting a frequent message which says no network connection. I've used this app for years and have it on my computer and I've had that happen before but never on the cell phone. I uninstall and reinstall and pick a different profile called fastest country and not works just fine. thank you

Best VPN you could get, it's fast, reliable, and free with no ads. The only problem is that sometimes the VPN will randomly disconnect itself but that's only when I've not used my phone in a few hours so it's probably intended to free up the servers a bit.

UPDATE: Their support is very good. they responded below and they were right about switching protocols that fixed everything for me and they have top notch support I like this VPN because it does not often make other sites look like I'm trouble and force me to do additional verification. what I don't like about the VPN is that sometimes it cuts off without any warning. I like to have it on anytime I use the phone

Connection to servers is rubbish, so unstable and unreliable. As soon as I connect, then exit the app to continue browsing the web, it disconnects from the server. Was better when I was only using the free version, don't waste your money on the paid version, it's a downgrade, not an upgrade.

Fast, & Light weight VPN and that too without ads. I have used many VPNs. Either they have too much ads, or make the system slow or Browser unresponsive. But the Proton is fast, light & quick. A legendary VPN. I sincerely hope after its popularity increases, you won' t annoy users with ads. 🙏🏻

From my research and experience this is objectively the most secure and trustworthy VPN, and the robust features like killswitch, split tunneling, and securecore make it an excellent value and the clear choice for those serious about security. I would love to see an option to create a list/set of multiple connections to rotate through with ability to set a specific time for the rotation each day, set to random, or by time interval (by hours, days, or weeks).

I reused. The free servers are better on Android than on my iPhone. It actually connects you to your country. The problem I have now is still the random disconnecting multiple times a day. Paid or free, it's always been this way for a while. Maybe try ads in the app for stability, or force at least 1 ad per day to use the app if using the free version.

I've only used the free version but it's worked flawless for me. on mobile data or Wi-Fi it never slows down my download speeds enough to notice and I can change servers too. if the paid version was cheaper I would possibly buy it.
